Pomorskie Regional EU Office in Brussels (acting as a part of “Pomorskie in the EU Association”) represents interests of various stakeholders from a very dynamic seaside region of Pomorskie in northern part of Poland. Established by the Pomorskie regional authorities in 2004, the Association gathers local self-governments, regional development agencies, chambers of commerce, universities, NGOs and cultural institutions. Its main tasks are: provide guidance on European policies and funding, support effective internationalisation of regional entities and maximise the region’s engagement in the EU-related matters.
Pomorskie Regional EU Office in Brussels has a strong cooperation with universities offering a wide range of education at the highest level:

Pomorskie universities are open to international cooperation and active exchange of people and ideas, they are actively involved in the following European umbrella organisations: European University Association, Baltic Sea Region University Network, Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research, EU Marine University Association and International Association of Maritime Universities.
Pomorskie region is also a place for many high-quality research institutes that internationalise very effectively (Institute of Power Engineering, Institute of Oceanology Polish Academy of Sciences, Institute of Hydro-Engineering Polish Academy of Sciences, Institute of Fluid-flow Machinery Polish Academy of Sciences).
