The University of Medicine and Pharmacy ‘Carol Davila’ is an active participant in educational, scientific and industrial cooperation, being a member of different national and international research consortia.
Currently, our university is developing two main research infrastructures with cutting-edge technology platforms: a multidisciplinary medical research infrastructure for preclinical and clinical studies (with the financial support of the European Investment Bank) dedicated to translational research in cardiovascular and neurological diseases and the Genomics Research and Development Institute. Both are part of the national research policies and integrated with the European R&D strategic vision for innovation.
The activities of the office representative are fully dedicated to promoting the university’s excellence and establishing partnerships with related organizations: universities, national and regional liaison offices of research and development based in Brussels, scientific networks, and other EU entities. Another component of the activity of the UMPCD representative is the organization of the activities of interest to the university and establishing contacts with new consortia for participation in European and international projects.
UMPCD encompasses a network of clinical hospitals and the expansion of modern research infrastructure. It represents a strong, reliable, and ambitious partner in Central Eastern Europe and a widening partner of excellence. We are a trusted partner in fostering synergies by utilizing national, regional, and European funds (ERDF).
