The Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), a comprehensive, research-intensive university with 9 faculties, values the societal impact of our excellent education and research of high importance. The goals and values are reflected in our services to connect the campus with European Union programmes, get the campus involved, and collaborate with academic institutions and all stakeholders where relevant, including students and citizens.
Services of the Brussels office
- connecting the university with European Union programmes and policies (creating awareness/engagement at the campus)
- getting topics proposed by the university on the EU policy agenda (mainly R&I, education, health, sustainability, society, digital)
- making Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Aurora more visible/audible in the EU arena (advocacy, developing collaborations)
- facilitating the establishment of collaboration between Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and other European universities/medical centres
- sharing knowledge on EU and national policies, learning from each other, exchanging best-worse practices
